The Sacred Space team is asked to explore how to create a space that will enhance the experience of prayer. Their role is to design the space, considering furniture, seating and symbols - and to decide how to welcome people and help them feel part of the celebration.

"If you enjoy planning and decorating, if you like making things look exciting and inviting, or making people feel comfortable - this might be the team for you."

The Sacred Space team is invited to think about how the space will reflect the Scripture and theme of the prayer.

They are asked to acknowledge country and welcome participants during the 'share' phase - explaining the elements they have chosen for the space. They are also asked to consider how participants will leave this sacred space at the end of prayer.

It is helpful to have a range of symbols, candles, cloths, chimes etc. for the participants to choose from.
